  1. Transmit Coverage 134-174MHz Modification
  2. This allows for transmission outside of the amateur bands. This info is
  3. intended for educational and emergency purposes only.

  5. Turn the FT-2600M off and remove the DC power cable. 
  6. Remove the 5 screws securing the top cover and carefully remove it. 
  7. Locate and remove JP1011 (near Q1049) as shown above. 
  8. Reassemble the radio again. 
  9. Press and hold [A/N]+[D/MR]+[MHz] while powering up to reset the 5P.
  10. Note: When modified, this radio will not be able to clone with other
  11. unmodified radios.
